Auriga... the embodiment of calmness, balance, and quiet wisdom. These are the first qualities that come to mind when describing her. She seems to have been born ready for all of life’s situations, flowing through life with ease, confidence, and natural composure.
Her rather “lazy” lifestyle is regularly interrupted by joyful bursts of emotions during welcomings and while caring for the members of her own pack. And while most dogs wag their tails, Auriga wags her entire body.
She was born to my favourite liver Flat coated retriever, C.I.E., C.I.B., JCh., MCh., GrandCh. Hecolap Empire State of Mind, and the Scottish dog Ch. Steelriver Follow The Sun.
In terms of conformation, Auriga is a smaller female with a short frame, pronounced forechest, deep chest, firm topline, excellent tail set and tail carriage, and an effortless, elegant movement. I have never enjoyed entering the show ring with any dog as much as with Auriga – no other dog has shown with such ease or received so many compliments on the movement mechanics.
At home, she may appear rather relaxed, always seeking out the softest places to sleep, but when it comes to work, she proves to be a highly intelligent and independently working female with an excellent memory for retrieving.
